Table Care

The retailer and/or manufacturer where you purchased your pool table probably discussed how to properly care for and maintain your new table; perhaps they even gave you some printed information for future reference. If you currently do not cover your table, we encourage you to review the information they gave you as well as the overview below as the life of your felt and your table can be greatly extended with the consistent use of a cover and proper care.

The most important step is to protect the felt playing surface and the furniture finish on your rails; a quality pool table cover is the first and easiest thing to do to assist in this effort. There are, of course, additional steps you will want to take to maintain a beautiful table for years of playing fun:
 

• Brush your felt regularly - protects and removes debris collected when uncovered and/or played on.
• Carefully vacuum your felt periodically - gets out what brushing misses.
• Buff your rails as needed - keeps wood looking new and removes finger prints.
• Lift the rack when preparing for the break - sliding it causes unnecessary wear.
• Set the standard - do not allow your rails to be used as a shelf for chalk, drinks, or cigarettes.
  
  Please refer to your maintenance instructions to learn the correct care techniques noted above. Improper brushing or vacuuming can stretch the felt, so be gentle.

The extra length at the corners provides additional protection for your pockets from dust and other airborne particles. The rounded hem and fluid drape adds elegant beauty to your home while protecting your table too.
